At the book fair premises, a particular gallery-like space is kept concentrating on a specific subject each year. The subject may be literature – based, or any other interesting matter of the city, or, for that matter,different aspects of the state of West Bengal as a whole. A booklet/ brochure containing rare pictures and documents is also published in this regard. Earlier publication of ‘Je Dhrubatara’ includes volumes on Harihar Seth, Charuchandra Roy, Kanailal Dutta, Rashbehari Bose, Motilal Roy, Upendranath Bandyopadhyay and others .Likewise, the theme includes booklets on ‘Pather Panchali – the novel and the film’,’Bengali Juvenile Literature’ , ‘Rabindranath and Chandannagar’. ‘The drama of Chandannagar’, ‘Iswarchandra vidyasagar and Chandannagar’ among other equally interesting subjects.
